Sweet Corn Cake (Kuih Jagung)

Ingredients
- 1 can of Sweet Corn Cream Style (Ayam Brand- 425g)
- 1/3 cup of corn flour
- 2 tbs of custard powder
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 cups of coconut milk
- 1 piece of banana leave
Method
1) Mix coconut milk with salt and sugar. Add in corn flour and custard powder and mix well.
2) Add in 1 can of sweet corn.
3) Cook over low heat and stir continuously until slightly thick.
4) Place the banana leaf over a steamer and pour in the mixture over in. Steam for 15 minutes.

Hi, do I steam the kuih jagung on high heat or low heat? Thanks! Wanna make this for family!

You just need to steam it over moderate heat.

Hi..what do you mean by the last step? Is it place pandan leaf in a container and then pour the batter on the leaf to steam?

Yes, you are right. Please blanch the banana leaf with boiling water first till soft. Then place the banana leaf on the steamer and pour in the mixture.
